Welcome to the first edition of Hyper Madden League Power Rankings! This edition will highlight the halfway point of the 2019 Season.
Note: These are my opinions based on more than a team record. I will factor in injuries, the strength of schedule, and roster depth along with how the team has performed for far this season. Also, if you disagree with any of my rankings, please feel free to comment below! Anyways, let's get this started!

32. Carolina Panthers (0-5-1)
There is not much to say here about the Panthers. They haven’t for a majority of this season
. They traded away defensive star Luke Kuechly to the 49ers, who is now a
Potential contender for defensive player of the year. This team has some potential but
Is in need of a coach who can lead them.
31. Miami Dolphins (0-5)
The Dolphins are a team that could possibly have a lot of potential. So far they have yet
to win a game but they have just gotten a new coach this past week. They’re coming off a rough blowout loss to the Jets 37-9 and their schedule does not get any easier as they host the undefeated Browns next week. Ben Roethlisberger has not played well so far this season. Look for Ryan Tannehill to potentially be gradually brought back into this offense if Big Ben does not improve.
30. Cincinnati Bengals (0-5)
The Bengals have struggled immensely on the offensive side of the ball so far this season.
After going scoreless the first two weeks, they’ve been able to get out some points in the
last two games. Kirk Cousins has not been playing up to his monster contract at
quarterback. He currently has 3 touchdowns to 13 interceptions on the season. Is it time
for the Bengals to unleash 7th Round Pick Brent Blanchard or trade for a QB? We’ll
have to wait and see.
29. Oakland Raiders (0-5)
After a first three weeks where the offense did not put up a single point, the Raiders came
out of the bye week and played a really tough game against the Chargers. Although the
offense may not be clicking completely, the defense is the strongest part of this team.
After week 1, the raiders have not allowed over 20 points on defense. This is a team that
you should keep your eyes on for potential upsets each week.
28. Tennessee Titans (0-5-1)
The Tennessee Titans have struggled greatly so far this season. They get the bye week
coming up this week where they could potentially be making some major team changes. this team has a lot of talent, it just needs to be unleashed. After the bye, they look to take on division rival Colts in Indianapolis.
27. New York Jets (1-5)
This Jets team just is not able to get it going so far this season. After spending big
Money in free agency and having a decent draft, the Jets can’t get it together right now.
Sam Darnold is very turnover prone and the offensive line is very weak on the right side.
Although they started off rough, this past week they finally started clicking. They
defeated division rival Miami in a 37-9 blowout in which Sam Darnold finally had a
turnover less game. When Darnold and the offense play good football, this team can
win some games.
26. Denver Broncos (1-5)
The Broncos are another team that may be underachieving this season. They’re going into
the bye week coming off of a four game losing streak. The main issue for the Broncos is
their rushing attack. They’re last in the league in average rushing yards. This offense
could really open up with a great runner out there. Surprise Stat: Broncos are
fifth in the NFL in terms of passings yards a game.
25. Arizona Cardinals (1-5)
After making the playoffs last season, the Cardinals have yet to find their footing so far
this season. Josh Rosen has not played like somebody who was drafted Top 10 in the
Draft. This team could be a lot better than their record shows but they have a very hard
Schedule. Is it time for a rebuild? Or is this season just an outlier?
24. Kansas City Chiefs (2-3)
The Chiefs are coming off of a bye week in week 6 and are looking to sweep the Raiders
this season as they host them in Arrowhead. This is a team that is held up by their
defense. Looking forward to the next few weeks which could heavily influence a
playoff run.
23. Seattle Seahawks (3-3)
The Seahawks had a great defensive show out on the road facing the Bengals last week
after being shut out by the 49ers the week prior. CJ Prosise absolutely went off with
193 yards on the ground. If this team can establish a run game they can be really
dangerous.
22. San Francisco 49ers (3-3)
The 49ers came out a bit flat last week after shutting out the Seahawks. The 9ers
Have a really great defense lead by defensive superstar Luke Kuechly who they
Received in a trade with the Panthers during the offseason. If the 49ers offense
Improves, they could eventually develop into a super bowl contender when
Being paired with that defense.
21. New York Giants (2-4)
The Giants are a lot better than their record. After an 0-3 start, they have been 2-1 in their
last three games. The Giants offense is very dangerous and when going up against most
defenses in this league, they can be really explosive. They look to continue their hot
streak as they face the Jets in the Battle of New York this week.
20. Indianapolis Colts (3-3)
The Colts have been really good this season compared to how their roster is. With a new
head coach, they’ve had a better year than expected. They Colts have remained
competitive in almost all of their games. Next Year, this team can become dangerous.
19. New England Patriots (3-2)
After a really impressive 3-0 start, the Patriots have lost two inter-conference games
after their bye week. The Patriots need to prove themselves to let us know whether or not
they are the real deal.
18. Detroit Lions (2-4)
Although they are 2-4, the Lions have been competitive in all of their games. Last week,
They lost 28-14 to the defending Super Bowl Champs, the Cowboys. Coming up, they go
to Lambeau to face the undefeated Packers. If the Lions could pull out a win here, it would go a long way.
17. Los Angeles Rams (3-3)
The Rams are going into the bye this week coming off of a 30-11 victory over
the Cardinals. Todd Gurley continues to dominate as he always has. After the bye week,
the Rams face the 49ers in a very important game for them .
16. Buffalo Bills (3-3)
After a rough patch of three games, the Bills are on fire right now. They’ve won two
vital games in a row against the Patriots and the Redskins. They face a really good
steelers team on the road this week. If they can continue the winning, the Bills
can begin to create seperation and be on their way to a second-straight AFC East
championship.
15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2)
The Buccaneers have been really good in four out of their five games. They just came
out of a 25-24 victory against the Saints. This win will go a long way. They’ll face
a really good Texans team this week which will be hard for them to win, but they very
well could.
14. Atlanta Falcons (2-3)
After going 12-4 last year, the Falcons coming in at a 2-3 record so far this season may
seem like a disappointment compared to last year. As a result of the 12-4 season, the
Falcons have had a hard schedule so far. They’ve lost to the Seahawks, Saints, and the
49ers. All of these teams have a .500 record or better. They face a really good
Cowboys team this week, a win would be a real statement.
13. Minnesota Vikings (3-2)
The Vikings lost 28-13 last week to the Chargers. Andy Dalton did not play particularly
well with only 67 passing yards on 10 completions. The Vikings could definitely make
some noise down the road, but their next two games are very tough going against Dallas
and Chicago. A win in one of those games could really help them out.
12. New Orleans Saints (3-2)
The Saints lost a close one last week against the Buccaneers. Drew Brees had 3
Picks, which is rare for him. They have a really hard game against the 6-0 Jaguars
coming up this week. After that, they have another important game against Atlanta.
11. Philadelphia Eagles (3-2)
The Eagles had a rough start to the year when they started out 0-2. Ever since that game
Though, they have had a special spark. The Eagles have won 3 in a row and are coming
off of a bye week and now face the 2-4 Lions. They’ll need to continue to build momentum, as they have a rough three game stretch coming up against the Packers, Bears, and Cowboys. Those three games can make or break their season.
10. Washington Redskins (3-3)
The Redskins started out 3-0 and have since lost 3 in a row. In weeks 1-3, they were
absolutely dominating the competition. They have lost 3 in a row, but they have been
playing well. It is not time to give up on this team yet, because they could get hot again.
9. Los Angeles Chargers (4-2)
The Chargers are playing really good football right now. They have the 7th ranked
offense in the NFL. They have the bye this week, but they now have a really good
chance to make a winning streak and get ready for the late season and playoffs.
8. Baltimore Ravens (4-2)
The defending AFC Champs have not seemed to slow down at all this season. Outside of
their two losses to the Steelers they have dominated so far this season. They’re on their
way for a real battle with the Steelers and Browns in the AFC North.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2)
After losing to the Patriots and Browns in weeks 1 and 2, the Steelers have won
four games in a row. The Steelers are not anything like the team they were last year.
Their two most impressive wins have came against defending AFC Champions,
the Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers face the Bills and then the Raiders before a bye week.
6. Green Bay Packers (6-0)
Out of all the unbeaten teams, the Packers may have the most to prove. They have been
dominant in their first four games. The last two games, they have had a lot closer games.
I am excited to see how they will play against the other elite teams, especially their
division rivals, the Chicago Bears.
5. Houston Texans (5-1)
The Texans have come out of the gates flaming hot this season. Outside of their one
loss to the 6-0 Jaguars, who are a crazy good team themselves. The Texans have one of
the best defenses in the leagues and their offense isn’t far behind. This top half of the
AFC is loaded with talented teams and it will certainly be a show.
4. Cleveland Browns (6-0)
The Browns are another team that have dominated basically all of their opponents. They
are coming off of a close win against the Patriots 24-19. Up next, they face the 0-5
Dolphins in Miami.
3. Chicago Bears (6-0)
The Bears had a bye last week, but the week prior, they had a good showing against the
Giants, who are the only team to beat them last season. The Bears are lead by their
top 3 offense being paired with that top 10 defense. The Bears look to continue their
dominance and week 9 marked on their calendar for a showdown against the Cowboys.
2. Jacksonville Jaguars (6-0)
The Jaguars are a great example of how the defense will win games. With the #1 defense in
the league, they are holding their opponents to an average of 7 points a game. Although
their defense is the star of the show, their offense is also ranked fifth in the league. Right
now, the Jags are the team to beat in the AFC.
1 . Dallas Cowboys (6-0)
The defending Super Bowl Champions have started right where they left off last season.
Led by Ezekiel Elliot and their elite run game, the Cowboys are averaging 32 points per
game. They’ve been able to handle business in all of their games this season and look to
continue that consistency and win back to back Super Bowls.
