Welcome to the second edition of power rankings! This will cover the end of the 2019 season!

Note: These are my opinions based on more than a team record. I will factor in injuries, the strength of schedule, and roster depth along with how the team has performed for far this season. Also, if you disagree with any of my rankings, please feel free to comment below! Anyways, let's get this started!

32. Carolina Panthers (1-14-1) [Prev. 32]

There is not much to say here about Carolina. They've lost 9 games in a row after securing a victory over Indianapolis in Week 7. They have some good, young talent, but they traded away their first round pick to the

Bills so they will miss out on the top talent of this years draft class.

31. Cincinnati Bengals (3-13) [Prev. 30]

After starting 0-5, the Bengals were able to pull out 3 wins down the stretch. Although they have looked better in the later parts of the season, this has been a disappointment on most parts. The Bengals had some playoff hopes before the season so to see them fail to win more than 3 games is a bit of a disappointment. They’ll need a new leader this offseason and it might be time for a rebuild.

30. Tennessee Titans (2-13-1)

After what has been a fairly weak season for the Titans, it seems like a full on the rebuild is looming. Rumors are that Tennesse will move on from quarterback Marcus Mariota this offseason. They could also be making more moves as the offseason continues.

29. New York Jets (3-13) [Prev. 27]

The Jets will finish 3-13 for the second year in a row after a bad loss to Dallas in Week 17. The main question is what is the plan for them? Is Sam Darnold the answer at quarterback or should they move on after next season? They need to find an identity on both offense and defense so they could make some noise in a weak AFC East.

28. Miami Dolphins (3-13) [Prev. 30]

With an ownership change midseason, the Dolphins have played pretty well lately. This is an important offseason for them as their new owner can now cement his plan with the franchise and build them into a contender. It will all start with the draft as they have a top 10 pick this year.

27. Denver Broncos (4-12) [Prev. 26]

The Broncos ended the season losing 24-6 against Kansas City. Their main issue has been their offense. Look for them to invest in a running back in free agency, in the draft, or through trade this offseason to open up the passing game for Case Keenum.

26. Arizona Cardinals (4-12) [Prev. 25]

The Cardinals came into the season looking to improve off of a playoff berth last season. They, unfortunately, could not make the playoffs this time in a fairly disappointing season. It may not be time to rebuild just yet, but they could use a bit of retooling on both sides of the ball.

25. Oakland Raiders (4-12) [Prev. 29]

After a rough start to the season, the Raiders seemed to improve after their week 9 victory against the Chargers. The Raiders secured three more wins after that, but they ended their season quite poorly with two bad losses to the Packers and Jaguars. They will look to continue a string of good games into next season and try to compete for a title in a weak division.

24. New England Patriots (5-11) [Prev. 19]

The Patriots started the season 3-0 after some signature wins over the Steelers, Dolphins, and Jets. After the bye week though, that's when they began to decline. Winning only 2 out of their last 13 games, the Patriots stumbled through the standings and ended up with a 5-11 record. On the bright side, they have a young rookie quarterback who can potentially be the next Tom Brady for New England.

23. Los Angeles Chargers (6-10) [Prev. 9]

As the largest fallers on this list, it seems crazy how the Chargers season had gone. They seemed primed and ready to make a run for the playoffs until it all fell apart for them late. It’s a shame to see Phillip Rivers miss out on a shot to win a super bowl in what could be his last season.

22. Washington Redskins (5-11) [Prev. 10]

Another team that has underachieved after a good start, the Redskins have been in almost every single one of their games this year. They’re a good team that with some quick fixes can compete as soon as next season.

21. Detroit Lions (6-10) [Prev. 18]

This year, the Lions have had a few bad breaks that could have changed their season. Although they had a decent start the last 4-5 weeks have been rough for them. They just recently ended their season with a bad loss to the Bears. If they have a good offseason they could be right back into the race for a championship.

20. Los Angeles Rams (6-10) [Prev. 17]

The Rams are going into the offseason with a bright future. In the first season under a new coach, they played quite well. They have a ton of young pieces already in place and also have quite a good amount of money to spend in free agency. It’s very easy to see them in the playoffs next year as they were only two games out from winning the NFC West.

19. Seattle Seahawks (7-9) [Prev. 23]

The Seahawks ended the season on a high note with a nice win over division rival Arizona. The Seahawks were only one game out of the division this year and have some good talent on that roster.

18. Indianapolis Colts (7-9) [Prev. 18]

With one of the weaker rosters in the league, the Colts have overachieved this season. With a lot of good signs of growth and a rejuvenated Andrew Luck, the Colts can build off this good season and hopefully will not regress with a new ownership taking over.

17. Philadelphia Eagles (8-8) [Prev. 11]

In what hasn’t been the best season for the Eagles, it seems as if they did not reach expectations. I feel as if it is just a bad season for them and they will continue to do good next year. They had a rough schedule, so let us see if they can succeed next year.

16. Atlanta Falcons (8-8) [Prev. 14]

The Falcons had a mediocre season compared to last season. They’ve had problems on a what should be a dangerous offense. After what has been an up and down season, they will need to make some changes through free agency and the draft.

15. Kansas City Chiefs (8-8) [Prev. 24]

The first playoff team on this list. The Chiefs seemed to come out of nowhere after a rough start to the season. They benefitted off of the Chargers late-season collapse and are coming off of a win over Denver in Week 17. They have a home game against six seeded Pittsburgh in the wild-card round. It will be a rough game, but they could pull out a win here.

14. New Orleans Saints (9-7)

The Saints won their last game of the season against a division rival and division winner Tampa Bay. They had a great year on both sides of the ball and they were a one-point loss to the Bucs in Week 6 away from winning the division. Next year with some more experience, expect them to make some noise.

13. Buffalo Bills (8-8) [Prev. 16]

They’ve won the division two times in a row. Although there is not a big difference in record, the Bills are a much better team this year. They’ve had some close games to some really good teams. They play the Texans for the second year in a row and look to get a different result this time around.

12. San Francisco 49ers (8-8) [Prev. 22]

The last of the 8-8 division winners, the 49ers are coming into the playoffs hot off of a series of signature wins. This is a team that wins with defense and plays hard-hitting old-fashioned football. They’ll have to play some tough teams in a loaded NFC. If their defense can lock down some of these top offenses, they can be a darkhorse Superbowl team.

11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-6) [Prev. 15]

The Buccaneers are coming into the playoffs on a five-game winning streak. They’ll face a good New York Giants team at home in the wild-card round. They’ve been lead this season by a mediocre Jameis Winston, but their real star on offense has been second-year running back Ronald Jones II who ran for almost 800 yards and 7 touchdowns this season.

10. Minnesota Vikings (9-7) [Prev. 13]

Although they will miss out on the playoffs the Vikings have played really well this year. They’ve stayed competitive against the big guys in the NFC. If they can make a few fixes and perhaps find a better quarterback this offseason they can make some real noise.

9. Baltimore Ravens (11-5) [Prev. 8]

One of the biggest shockers this season, the Ravens, who represented the AFC in the Superbowl last season, missed out on the playoffs in a loaded AFC. Although they may have missed out on the playoffs this season brought in the emergence of rookie WR Emmanuel Parry. They have a ton of cap space and already have a loaded roster. Be ready for the Ravens to be back in business.

8. Green Bay Packers (12-4) [Prev. 6]

Although they drop down two spots in this rankings, the Packers continued their great season in the second half. Although they went 12-4, they will take a wildcard spot because of the Bears being in their division. They look to make it far in the playoffs and it starts out this week against the 49ers in San Francisco.

7. New York Giants (11-5) [Prev. 21]

As the biggest riser on this list, the Giants only lost one more game after their 2-4 start. Their most impressive win was a victory over Dallas. They’ve proven that they can beat the NFL’s best, and they’re playing their best football at the moment so they are definitely a Superbowl contender.

6. Chicago Bears (14-2) [Prev. 3]

The Bears have continued to dominate this season. They had a rough 2 game stretch which featured their only losses to the Eagles and Cowboys. They will get a first round bye which will rest them up for a game against whoever comes out of the wildcard round.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers (13-3) [Prev. 7]

After last season where the Steelers went 2-14, Business is now booming in Pittsburgh. They had a rough 0-2 start where #1 Pick Zac LeBlanc was still trying to settle down in the NFL. Since week 2 they have been virtually unstoppable. They are a real powerhouse in a conference that has lots of great teams at the top.

4. Cleveland Browns (14-2) [Prev. 4]

The Browns won their first division title in quite a while this season. They’ve secured the second seed in the AFC and will get a first-round bye this week. They’ve played well on both sides of the ball and are easily one of the best teams in the league.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (15-1) [Prev. 2]

For the second year in a row, the Jaguars finished 15-1. Their only loss came to the hands of the Houston Texans. They are top 3 in both offense and defense and they are well coached. They’ll look to make the super bowl this year after missing out on it last season.

2. Houston Texans (15-1) [Prev. 5]

The Texans have been almost unstoppable this year. They split a division series with the Jaguars and outside of that game, nobody has been able to defeat them. They lost a tough one in the AFC Championship last season, but now that the Ravens aren’t in the playoffs, they have the path to the super bowl made for them. They will have to play in the wildcard because of the loss to the Jaguars, but don’t make that fool you into thinking they aren't a top team in the league.

1. Dallas Cowboys (15-1) [Prev. 1]

The defending champs are in the #1 spot yet again and will be until they are defeated. They’re still favorites to repeat behind an offense that is lead by leading rusher Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott is a huge piece of this team and the only way to stop Dallas is through Elliott. There are some teams coming at their title though, so they can’t take anyone lightly.
