Jerry Jones was rushed to the hospital this morning after a panic attack at his home last night. Reports say that he was found on the floor of his home mumbling “why do they have to ruin it every year for us.” It is unknown at this time whether Jerry was referring to the annual trick or treaters that visit his home for Halloween or the 31-0 loss that his undefeated Cowboys took from The New York Giants last night. (The Cowboys also lost last season to the Giants late in the year to ruin an undefeated season)

The game was originally started two days ago but was interrupted by a rain storm while the roof was open. The Cowboys players all had a terrible reaction when struck with raindrops as they suffered from symptoms of severe jet lag. The TV connection was lost as well, which didn’t make Roger Goodell happy. The Giants players were completely fine, another unexplained wrinkle to this story.

It was 14-0 with 4:30 left in the second quarter when the game was interrupted as Teddy Bridgewater connected with Evan Engram twice on his way to the end zone. The Giants defense seemed to be shutting down the Cowboys offense most of the first half until early in the second quarter when Dak Prescott lead them down the field into the red zone only to throw an interception in the end zone. This was the last play before the interruption, weirdly this interception did not show up in the stat book, it’s possible it was washed out by the rain drops.

When the game resumed the Giants took the ball right down the field led by a 70 yard run by Saquon Barkley that converted into a short TD run by Barkley. It was more of the same for the Cowboys the rest of the game, but without the excuse of all the jet lag symptoms. Dak Prescott threw 2 INT’s and the NFL’s leading rusher and top candidate for MVP Ezekiel Elliott was held to 33 yards total rushing on 15 carries. The leagues second leading rusher Saquon Barkley rushed for 94 yards on 15 carries with 2 TD’s.

After starting the year 0-3, the Giants are now 8-5 after winning four in a row. They look to make a playoff push the rest of the season but face the Minnesota Vikings, who are also 8-5 next week in a crucial game with big implications for the NFC wildcard spot.
